Tchotchkey is a sculpture of an oversized photo viewer keychain inspired by those from hotels and resorts of the Borscht Belt era. Inside is a photograph of my dad and grandmother in the pool at the Napanoch Country Club from the summer of 1963. It was installed in the Borscht Belt Museum’s pop-up exhibition, “Vacationland” in conjunction with the Borscht Belt Fest in Ellenville, New York at the end of July 2023.
